Maldives: 5 Reasons to plan immediately

A mesmerising Maldives bidding a bye…With the hope of ‘See you soon’.

Maldives is heaven. The sound of waves, see-through water, corals & seashells, crabs dancing in the wind and endless peace are ample reasons to visit this assembly of islands in the Indian Ocean. Maldives lies southwest of Sri Lanka and India, at about 750 kilometres from the Asian continent’s mainland. Male is the capital and your flight will land here. You will be taken to your hotel on one of the islands via a sea plane or a speedboat, depending on what you choose and pay for.

I came back from Maldives a couple of days back and the sand and the sea breeze still lingers on. While I get back to the daily chores and work meetings, here is a quick blogpost on why you should plan Maldives for your next trip. I enjoy writing travel blogs and this one seems so much fun. So here you go with 5 reasons to plan Maldives soon.

Maldives: 5 Reasons to plan immediately

  1. Maldives has a straight Vistara flight from Delhi. It makes you reach in 3.5 hours straight. It has 3 classes- economy, premium economy and business. The visa is on arrival and is an easy and a quick process.
  2. Chill – That’s the only thing you do in Maldives. Wake up to the waves, take a walk. Get back. Jump in the pool. Get back. Go for a water sport. Get back. Have a good dinner. Go to sleep. Repeat.
  3. Water sports and bicycling– You have the sea in front of you and all you can do is shout and enjoy the water sports. You can do peddle boating, water scooter ride, snorkelling, scuba diving and much more. There are bicycles all around to galavant and see the sea. Enjoy bicycling here the most. Go back to your childhood and the time of easy life.
  4. Watch the sunrise and the sunset– See the waves go by. Enjoy a cup of your favourite beverage, chai in my case while doing the same. This is mesmerising.
  5. Enjoy the food– Your hotel complex will have ample food options with restaurants offering cuisines from Indian, Thai, Chinese to Mexican and local Maldivian food. Pre book your lunch and dinner package from your base country. Book an all- meal inclusive package and just enjoy the food at the restaurants facing the sea.

We stayed at The Hard Rock Hotel Maldives. Hard Rock Hotel Maldives in South Male Atoll is fantastic for a rock-and-roll holiday in CROSSROADS, a multi-island complex with amazing shops, multiple restaurants, and immense entertainment. The rooms are facing the sea and all you have to do is just gaze at the stunning waves and white sand.

Plan and book your Maldives holiday now. You’ll love it. The tan will go away but the memories will stay, forever!
