Van Heusen is a brand that needs no introduction. It is popular for its crisp formals and edgy range. It was in July 2015 that the brand came up with a month long contest – Van Heusen Most Fashionable Professional. The winners for the contest have been announced, and unfortunately I am not one. But nonetheless we help you take a lot of style tips and amazing looks from the winners that you can experiment with and make your everyday work wear stand out from the crowd.

A panel of fashion experts and stylists has shortlisted 10 winners – 5 males and 5 females. All these would be featured in a leading fashion magazine of the country. The top 2 winners out of these 10 would also get a wardrobe makeover from Van Heusen.

So here are the top 10 Van Heusen #MostFashionableProfessional Winners who redefine formals and take power dressing to an all new high. Make sure you take notes, they’ll be of great help. 

Niharika Soni

Niharika is one of the top 2 winners. Her style is minimalistic and clean. The crisp silhouettes make her formal wear fuss free. Although her outfits are simple, but edgy and very classy; and the best part she looks very comfortable. She uses pastels very well and totally rocks it.

Darshit Lahane

Darshit takes uber cool to the next level. He showcases how to wear formal wear with ease and comfort. Smart, sleek and very crisp! Enhancing the look are the perfect accessories – a classic watch and fashionable sunglasses.

Payal Jain

So you thought that formal wear is all about boring trousers and blazers? Take tips from Payal who has included a lot of florals and pastels in her formal wardrobe. Slim fit pants, peplum tops, and one piece formal dresses are what Payal abides by. To highlight the look you can add just a dash of makeup (minimalistic) and invest in some heels/ ballerinas.

Akshata Shanbagh

Akshata perfectly amalgamates formals with her cool style quotient. Her effortless styling of skirts, dresses and shirts are ideal. It is also interesting to note that all these day looks can be easily transformed to night looks with a little modification. For an important meeting in office you can pair your skirt with heels; for an evening out wear strappy gladiators, wear chandelier earrings and a matching or contrast lip color!

Rashmi Jyoti

Rashmi’s style is no fuss! It is very urbane yet comfortable at the same time. Look how she has tied her hair in varying styles – ponytail, side braid etc. Team up a traditional blazer with your dress or skirt just like Rashmi does, and you are good to go for a client meeting.

Stripes are the most favorite when we talk about formals. When worn in the right manner, they look chic and elegant. It is great how Mohanlal has teamed his striped shirt with plain trousers. Always keep in mind not to combine two stripes. Use a matching or contrast solid colored trouser/shirt and let the stripes shine out.

Muzammil Khwaja

If we had just one word to describe Muzammil’s style, then it would be immaculate. The no fuss, crisp formals are traditional and classic. Basic colors are used, so not a lot of experimenting there. But he carries off both the styles of the blazers very well.
