The air, the lights, the moods- all in sync with Diwali. We all want to look our festive best. I have been so everywhere and now with a week left I am so wondering what to wear on Diwali and the day before. I am sure most of you are still thinking too. So for all you special girls, I am making it simpler by tracking down the trends this festive season.

So here are Top Three Trends this Diwali…

  • Go floral this Festive Season. With a mile left for winters, this is your last chance this year to be summerish in your outfit. Sport floral colors and cuts. Bridal Specialist & Couturier Amy Billimoria recently showcased her collection on the onset of Diwali. She is on a roll and is known for being Classy in the fashion circuit. She has dressed the likes of Hema Malini, Ameesha Patel, Shibani Kashyap, Esha Deal and many more, and is known for her ornate collection. Her festive collection is an experimentation with colors and will see more of contemporary sarees in bright color palettes of pinks and reds to fresh line greens. With floral as the theme of collection, she gave a fresh breath of air to her designs. She mentioned, “This festive collection is inspired by nature…a serene blend of fresh colors complementing some unusual Indian silhouettes. I have worked especially on my collection blending the outfits with stunning Swarovski accessories including stylised belts & evening clutches.”

  •  Let the Salwar Kameez Dupatta do the talking. Hassle free and easy to wear, Salwaar kamiz are perfect to run through the busy Diwali day. Keeping the ethnic spirit intact, these are perfect options for festive occasions. Recently Biba has unveiled it’s Salwar Kameez Dupatta range for Diwali in soft, pastel and light colors. Working with cotton and silk, the range boats of flawless cuts and understated designs. You can showcase the elegance and richness of Indian clothes in flared silhouettes in fabrics from Brocade, chanderi, Banaras looms, hand woven trims and georgettes.

  • Experiment with bottoms and dupattas. Go crazy, go different. Match a palazzo with a short kurta or a ghagra with a long slit kurta. Go simple or monochrome with your suit and adorn it with a bright dupatta in bold prints or neon colors or embroideries like Phulkari. Let one piece in your outfit take the limelight.

Hope you have liked these trends and are ready to look your flashy best. So, this Diwali be all set to bring happiness and wishes to your lovely homes in stylish outfits and silhouettes. Be comfortable to enjoy the day, avoid heels if you have a lot of walking (unless ofcourse you are comfortable in them) and adorn the most important accessory- your smile.

Respect to elders and love to all.
