Lakme fashion week W/F 2013- The day for the bloggers by Indian Fashion Blogger

Tanya Virmani Fashion Blogger Delhi

Exactly last week, at this hour I was walking in Grand Hyatt Mumbai to see the Lakme fashion week W/F 2013 and experience the Lakme fever there. I was one of the chosen fashion bloggers to fly from Delhi to see the crème de la crème at the show and witness the launch of the Lakme Absolute Royal collection along with the fan following and the extravaganza for the Lakme CC cream. The fashion and the beauty world came together to create a spectacle of a show. It was my privilege to see it all live happening in front of me in its true colors and élan.

I landed at about 10 in the morning with 2 fellow bloggers and one Lakme CC cream contest winner. We headed ourselves to the Grand Hyatt to meet the bubbly Lakme team. Our day was planned with its moments of surprises and buckets of fun. After getting ourselves ready and prim and proper for the day, we headed for a rock and roll day. It started with a bang on surprise. We were taken to meet Sarah Jane Dias at the VIP CC lounge. We spent an eventful time with her and talked about the looks that can be created with the CC cream and what more- we got some candid pictures clicked with her aswell. My day was already made.fashion lookbookLets expressofashion lookbooklets expresso

Lakme Fashion week W/F 2013Next we were taken to the Lakme Absolute pro-stylist lounge to see the Absolute Royal collection that made its debut at the fashion week. The products, the colors, the fragrance- all in it’s royal enigma highlighted the senses and stunned the eyes. This was followed by a very required nice lunch that spanned for an hour and we ate from Italian to Indian to street food. The buffet at Hyatt filled us with all the savouries cooked in taste and style.

Next was the 3’0 clock fashion show by the Maharashtra State Handlooms Corp Ltd, Pinnacle by Shruti Sancheti and Soumitra Mondal. There were 2 shows back to back with Juhi Chawla being the show stopper for the second one. The cuts, fabrics, silhouesttes in all its details were cat walked by some 24″ waist models and I was dying to see my protruding cute little paunch. Lakme fashion week W/F 2013 was in all its vigour and it was a thums up to the collection that walked and talked in style.

The culmination activity was a nice hair do and makeover for all of us. We were taken to the Lakme makeup lounge and various professionals worked on us to give us a new die for look. My nails were painted a deep maroon with yellow nail art. I was smiling in glory. This was followed by a true makeup session wherein I spoke to the expert about skin details and skin harmony. She explained what suited my skin and how I can take good care of it. The hair professional gave soft curls to my length and fixed it with a hair spray. I’m used to getting hair straight every time at a saloon so soft curls were a good surprise. The overall look did charm me and others around. This was followed by a photo session. Ah I missed about the special photo session throughout the day. It was a paparazzi. Wherever we went, the cameras followed. I was a true star of the day, Lakme made me one. But like all good things come to an end, so did the day. I would like to thank Lakme for such a fantastic experience and yes, I love Lakme.fashion lookbook
