Hi Everyone!
Our kurta love is increasing by the day. So today in the kurta love series we bring to you an interesting way to glam up your ethnic look. Read on to find how you can team up kurtas of different kinds with jackets for a supremely stylish look. Kurtas with Jackets are here to stay.
Kurtas with Jackets
A lot of girls and ladies want to experiment with this style but somehow cannot find the right match. For starters you can wear a jacket kurta with trousers or palazzos. Jacket kurtas are the in thing. Beautiful long kurtas that double up as a jacket – that’s what a jacket kurta is.
Use bold colors which can be worn as statement pieces. And when you feel a little more confident about the look, then you can play with patterns and colors.
The good thing about this look is that it is very versatile. Pair a cotton jacket kurta (below) with a skirt and silver jewellery for a casual day look.
You can also wear a heavy embroidered jacket kurta with palazzos or lehnga skirt for wedding festivities or a formal get together.
Revamp your usual churidar suits with an embellished jacket. This look is great for a day function like mehndi or housewarming. A messy bun with flowers, and a dainty potli bag would be perfect to complement the look.
With winters fading away and summers sneaking in slowly, it is time to invest in some pretty kurtas. Play with colors, patterns and materials to create new looks. Wear a waistcoat or a smaller jacket over straight kurtas for an evergreen classic feel.
Jackets with kurtas look very classy and also this combination is great for girls who cannot manage a dupatta. Wear a sequenced or an embroidered jacket over a silk kurta and your formal festive look will be on point.

Take tips from the look below. How prettily Anita Hasanandani, the popular TV actress pairs an embellished jacket with a Patiala suit. The solid colored silk kurta is subtle and the main highlight is on the jacket. Add a bright lipstick, pretty heels and a box clutch and you’d be good to go.
Like we said let your kurta double up as a jacket. Pair the front slit kurtas with pants or palazzos.
You could also get yourself a cape jacket. The cape jacket can be worn with suits as well as sarees.

If you love anarkalis, then pairing them with long jackets is a great idea. It looks festive and dressy. Make sure you don’t overdo it with a lot of colors or prints. Let the focus be on the jacket with a solid colored kurta.
You could also team up a crop jacket with anarkali kurtis.
And if you think that the kurta jacket combination is only for winters, then think again. Lighter fabrics and pastel shades would do the trick in summers as well. See how this olive Jacket kurta with printed palazzos looks ethereal. The little sheen is adding an oomph factor.
Long or short, whatever type of jacket you choose, make sure you carry it well and pair it with the right kurta.

This style sure looks regal… But in the crazy delhi heat? I shudder to think.
The rich jewel colours are a bonus to the look though.
Choose cooler colors and fabrics for the jacket. Fab India and Anokhi has some really interesting styles in cotton and block prints. Must check. Don’t miss the trend.
Nice Collection.
