    – To the keep the nail safe from effect of colours, cut the long nail and apply nail polish on them.
    – Do not use soap, scrubs, kerosene oil, petrol or spirit to remove the colours as these may remove layers of skin and cause rashes
    – Wash you face with cold water as hot water may further stick the colours on your skin.

  3. FOR SAFE HOLI WE SHOULD USE ECO FRENDLY NATURAL COLOURS :):):) Pre-Holi hair and skin care

Hair: Liberally apply warm coconut oil or castor oil for 20-25 minutes before playing Holi. For dandruff, mix eight to ten drops of lemon in the oil and apply. This will help remove the colours off your hair easily.

Face: Put dollops of moisturizer on your face. This will protect against the effects of chemical-loaded colours. You may also apply a waterproof foundation as this will shield your skin from the colours and also act as a barrier.

Eyes and lips: Do not wear lens while playing Holi as the colour might get into the lens and harm your eyes. Also avoid wearing spectacles. If you cannot do without it, be careful while playing as your face might end up getting hurt due to the edges of the glasses.

For lips, apply a generous layer of balm.

Body: Slather your body with sunscreen, castor or olive oil or body lotion. Wear full sleeved-cotton clothes. Avoid denims. You may feel heavy once drenched in the coloured water. Cotton shorts or pants are perfect wear.

Nails: Paint your nails with dark-coloured nail polish as this will prevent staining your nails.

    Post-Holi hair and skin care:

Hair: Wash your hair with a mild shampoo. Do not apply harsh shampoos to get rid of the colours as this might strip off the natural oils present in your hair. If you have hair loss or rough hair, massage it with warm almond or olive oil. This will soothe and condition your hair.

Home remedies work best for your hair. Soak few fenugreek (methi) seeds in water overnight. Next morning crush them to make a paste. Apply this on your hair and keep it for at least 15 minutes. Wash your hair with a mild shampoo. If used twice a week, the mask will help reducing hair loss. The mask also controls the dandruff.

Face: Always use cold water to remove colours. Make a paste of raw milk and besan and apply it on your face to remove the colour stains. You may also use a light oil such as jojoba or grape seed to remove the excess colour from your skin. Wash it off with a mild face wash and rinse it with lukewarm water. Moisturize immediately. If you are prone to acne, avoid scrubbing. Go for facial or facial bleach only a week after playing Holi. Give some time to your skin to recover from the damage.

Eyes: Splash water on your eyes to remove the colours. Do not rub your eyes.

Body: You can use coconut oil to get rid of the colours. Take some coconut oil on a cotton ball and rub it on your body to remove the stains. Use glycerine or aloe vera-based soaps. After bath apply generous amount of body lotion. Avoid taking baths frequently. This may result in dry skin.

Follow all the tips and you are bound to glow even after playing with colours. Have a happy and safe Holi!

  4. The best way to protect your skin is to apply a thick layer of oil or petroleum jelly on the exposed parts of the body an hour before you step out. Also, use sunscreen since the dyes present in the colours make the skin vulnerable to sun burns, darkening and rashes.
Use natural / herbal, skin friendly colours
Do not use chemical and grease colours
Wear clothes that cover maximum part of your body
Oil your hair & apply cream on exposed parts before playing Holi
Use warm water and moisturising soap to wash off colour
Use moisturisers and skin cream liberally

  5. The Best Way To Protect Skin From harmful chemical colors Is APPLYING ” PETROLEUM JELLY ” Which Protects Skin From Colors & Oil In Jelly Doesn’t Allow Colors To Penetrate Into Skin.
Take Care Of Your Skin By Wearing Thick & Full Hands Clothes.
Use Only Soap Liquids To Wash & Apply Moisturizer After Taking Bath:) !

  6. Hi All,

Please finds my quick fix to save sensitive skin from harmful chemical colors :

    – Always use a barrier cream or oil (mustard oil is best) in generous quantity on all exposed body parts. Let the skin absorb it for 20-30 minutes.
apply waterproof sunscreen generously before stepping out on HOLI.
    – Wear clothes that cover most of the exposed body parts to avoid as much of the colors coming in contact with your skin.

    – Oil your hair and scalp with olive, coconut or castor oil. Add a few drops of lemon juice to prevent dandruff and infection triggered by the chemical colors.

    – Avoid synthetic colors and powdered dyes. Instead opt for skin-friendly vegetable or natural colors.

    – Make colors at home experiment with different natural products available like henna that can be used as green color, turmeric powder can be used as yellow color, dry rose petals and other dry petals can be grounded to make powder and used as dry gulab.

    – For those with a history of skin allergy or rash, take an anti-allergic tablet on the previous night to avoid skin irritation and rash.

    Thanks,
    Veerathangam

  7. Apply thick layers of coconut oil or petroleum jelly on all exposed parts of body about an hour before going out of your house.

  8. Please finds my quick fix to save sensitive skin from harmful chemical colors :

    – Apply a thick layer of moisturizer, petroleum jelly or coconut oil on your face and other exposed parts to prevent dyes and colors from coming into direct contact with your skin.

    – A mixture of jojoba and rosemary oil can also be applied to make the right base for your hair and prevent the harmful colors from settling down.

    – Alternatives to harmful colors

Here are a few things one can do at home:

    * Mix haldi powder with besan for a lovely yellow.

    * Slice a beetroot and soak in water for a deep pink.

    * Boil Marigold or Tesu flowers in water for yellow colour.

    * The other easy way to get a yellow liquid colour is to soak peels of pomegranate overnight.

    * For an orange red paste, henna leaves (mehndi) can be dried, powdered and mixed with water.

    – To remove the Holi colours, first wash with cold water. Rub some lemon wedges over the skin, and then wash it off. Use a soft cleanser or a homemade milk and besan scrub to wash your skin. Scrub the affected areas and lips for a few minutes and then rinse with lukewarm water.

    – After playing Holi when you go for bathing, soak Multani Mithi about an hour ago. While taking bath apply this on skin where color is there. Dry this pack for sometime. then after drying, wash it. This Mud pack is very helpful in removing color from the body.

    – Mix gram flour, sweet oil and milk cream in rose water. Make a thick paste of it and apply it on face, hand and legs. Let it the paste dry. Then remove it by rubbing with hands. This way the color on skin can be removed.

-UBTAN( mixture of 4 Tbsp.Chickpea Flour,2 Tbsp. Almond Oil,1 Tsp. Turmeric,1 Tsp. Fenugreek Powder,1 Tsp. Wheat Germ Oil,1/4 Tsp. Rose Oi) can be used to remove colors from the body.

    – In case of any irritation or burning, calamine lotion can be applied. If the irritation persists, consult a dermatologist urgently.

    Thanks,
    Lavanya

  9. # Don’t use soaps and scrubs to remove colours.Soaps erode the skin layers and cause rashes. It’s best to go for a soap-free cleanser.
    # Using kerosene, spirit or petrol to clean your face is not healthy. Try a cream-based cleanser or baby oil instead.
    # Hot water will further stick the colour on your skin. So, splash cold water.
    # Apply moisturiser or baby oil after cleansing.
    # Stay away from the sun till your skin has had time to recover.
    # Stop beauty treatments-facial, bleach etc-a few days in advance.

  10. # Apply petroleum jelly before you dip your hands into that pail of colours.
    # Avoid pedicures and manicures at least for a day. They can further damage the nail/cuticle.
    # Don’t use nail paint remover to wipe off the colours. It dissolves the protective skin layer.

  11. *I usually apply vaseline all over my open parts.
*I massage Lots of coconut oil in my hairs a night before holi.
*Apply dark coloured nail paints on both hands and legs nails
    *Wear Full sleeve clothes
*I use organic colours like turmeric powder Or paste, Henna paste, tesu ke flowers, chandan, Beetroot juice etc.

  12. Onset of March brings along with it the joy of celebrating holi- the festival of colours. And enjoying holi sometimes has its own side-effects. With this simple trick you will never have to hide behind the wall.
Have a Nice hair oiling session in the morning before you go out on the day holi. The oily layer on your hair acts as a shield and doesn’t let the the harmful chemical affect your hair. This theory applies both for your hair as well as your skin.
In order to protect your face first of all wash your face well. then apply some petroleum jelly or skin cream with suits your skin.
And lastly oldest trick perhaps for your skin is to apply “Coconut Oil” or any moisturizer suitable for your skin an hour before. Make sure to apply a very thick layer. After that apply some sun screen to protect your skin from sun.
While playing Holi refrain from synthetic colours, you can use natural colours made from flowers and vegetables. Malabar spinach seeds are an excellent option for obtaining purple color.
Post holi don’t use soap or spirits such as petrol or kerosene for removing the colour. These tend to erode the skin layers and makes it even more dry. Instead you can use Home-made besan mixed with milk cream for cleasing the colour. After having a bath Moisturize your skin and apply sunscreen.
Play natural play safe. HOLI HAI……

  13. My quick fix to avoid getting rashes n tanning on my sensitive skin on Holi is to put on full-sleeved n high-neck clothes to give myself max coverage from toxins in colors and harsh sun(if its really that sunny day) and oiling my scalp n long hair before tying them in a tight bun covered with cotton scarf stylishly 😉
I apply either baby oil or vaseline to close skin pores on exposed body parts like hands, face neck while being extra careful for nails, inner part of the ears n elbows which tend to absorb more colors and its tougher to remove stains from these areas.
And yes!! just to shre with u…in my childhood days, papa used to make us drink glassful of Glucose mixed water before engaging us in Holi bash so as to keep re-hydrating our skin n body 🙂

  14. 1. The best way to protect your skin is to apply thick layers of oil or petroleum jelly or coconut oil or mustard oil on all exposed parts of your body about an hour before going out of your house.
2.Apply sunscreen on your body to decrease the possibility of chemical effect of colour on skin. Sunscreen should also be applies near the eyes and on eye lashes to protect your eyes from harmful effect of colours.
3.After playing holi apply fuller earth (multani mitti), soak in water for an hour, on your skin. This mud pack is very helpful in removing the colour from the body.
    4. Mix two spoon of lime juice with in half bowl of curd and apply in the areas having colour. After sometime take bath with normal water to remove the colour from your skin.
5.Another home remedy to remove colour from skin is, make thick paste by mixing gram flour, sweet oil, and milk cream in rose water and apply it on your face, hand and legs. Let the paste dry and remove it by rubbing with hands.

  15. The best option would be to play holi with natural home made colours. If home made colours are not available, then to prefer a better quality of colour to protect skin n hair.use more of red or pink colours which looks good and can be easily taken off.• 1.)To protect dry hair, it is best to oil hair thoroughly with coconut oil and then, tie it up in a pony or bun.
2.) Colors together with the sweltering heat outside can leave with a bad skin tan and wearing black clothes can only worsen the situation. Hence, it is very important to wear light colored clothes.
3.) Applying a good moisturizer on all exposed parts of the body works great. especially for dry skin.
4.) For oily skin one should apply some astringent lotion followed by a layer of compact. This acts as a shield over the skin and prevents opening of pores which could otherwise get clogged.
5.) For oily/greasy hair- tieing hair back in a ponytail is enough.
6.)Blue and green color especially when wet, can spoil the look of nails. Wearing a coat of transparent hardener and enamel on nails is a great option to take care of breakage and to prevent the colors from entering into the nails. 7.)covering hair with caps or hat protects hair from being coloured with hard to rinse dyes. 8.) if someone has applied permanent dye to face, do not rub the face immediately to get rid of it.instead apply good quantity cleansing milk for removal.usage of soap may dry the skin.
7.)Coconut oil is best used for skin. In case skin is oily, use some light moisturizer or a water-proof sunscreen for skin. ONE may also apply a glycerin paste (glycerin in lemon juice). Wash skin with warm water while having bath and instead of using a chemical soap, try using a herbal soap or some gentle facewash or a scrub. Do not scrub face vigorously in order to remove colors. That will produce dryness and aggravate the irritation on skin due to chemical colors. Also, use an Aloe Vera to treat skin after washing the colors off. Moisturizing the skin is important as the colors render skin dry and irritated.

  16. My quick fix to avoid getting rashes n tanning on my sensitive skin on Holi is to protect your skin from the adverse effect of colors, you can apply sunscreen lotion on your body. This can possibly decrease the chemical effect of color.
If a day before Holi, mustard oil is applied on body, especially on face, hands and legs then the color can be removed from the skin easily. Additionally this oil should also be applied on hairs. By this, you can protect your hairs from damage caused by colors. Hair containing oil, store less color comparatively.
To keep your skin safe from colors, try wearing clothes which cover whole of your body. This way, less part of body will come in contact of colors.
If a color is applied by rubbing, then use face wash instead of soap to remove it. But, do remember to remove the color gently from the skin. Rubbing and then washing can harm your skin.

Don’t forget to apply cream after taking bath.

  17. pre-HOLI skin preparation-
sunscreen with good SPF (30+) is a must as HOLI is a festival enjoyed during daytime. a skin serum specially designed for sensitive skin helps. nails need to be cut and kept short ; pointed nail-shapes are a strict no-no. those who have sensitive scalp definitely needs to wear a scarf(add a dash of colour here too) its best to wear a light full-sleeve kurta or top while playing HOLI.

Its better to opt for chemical-free organic , herbal and natural HOLI COLOURS of good trusted brands to avoid skin rash or any kind of irritation

    post-HOLI skin session-
using a mild hair and body wash(gently cleaning nails and the scalp) and ending up with a moisturiser that is meant for sensitive skin…medicated skin-creams are also good options

  18. Hi
For Hoil, we prefer to play Holi with Natural colors or colors that we can get by extracting juice of flowers like Tessu ke phool which are not only natural but also does not affect our skin…..
My quick fix is to wear full sleves salwar suit while going out to play holi then a night prior to Holi, I always apply lots and lots of coconut oil and massage scalps properly so that oil gets in to roots and cover hair so that less color gets on to hair, apply a good amount of mustard oil on my arms, hands, legs, foot and massage it properly so that the mustard oil fills in all the open pores and if our hands gets stained in colors like green next morning, then we can easily remove it and also mustard oil provides strength to our hands so I always apply two-three drops of mustard oil and massage my hands before going to sleep every night besides Holi and while playing Holi, we get drenched so to avoid getting cold I start my Holi morning with a cup of adrak tulsi tea and then get ready to play Holi 🙂

  20. My tips to save ur skin this holi:
    1)apply a waterproof sunscreen lotion..
2)Keep yourself hydrated. keep drinking water, juices as well as glucose cos dehydration causes your skin to dry and combined with harsh chemicals, the colour might seep into your skin.
3)wear clothes of light hues so you will be coloured with small amount of color. If you wear dark clothes, your friends might try to douse you in harmful colours, which is bad for your skin.

  21. 1. Select clothes that will cover maximum parts of your body
    2. Apply oil or any other greasy cream on all the exposed parts. This prevents colors from settling down on the skin
    3. Keep a soothing lotion like calamine handy. If the skin burns during playing Holi, wash it off and apply calamine lotion or a moisturizer
    4. Increase your water intake, both before leaving the house and after coming back. This is to prevent dehydrating of the skin as a result of excessive washing and the chemicals in the colors
The effect of the colors is visible on the skin eve days after Holi. Here are a few things you can do to make your skin feel better.

    1. Wash off the colors while wet, makes it easy to wash it of
    2. Use lukewarm water to wash your face and apply a smoothing lotion
    3. Do not be harsh on your skin. Don’t rub it vigorously with soap. You can use a face cleanser or baby oil to get rid of the colors and follow it with a moisturizer

    3. Apply almond oil followed by a moisturizer to the exposed parts of your body so that the harmful chemicals and colors don’t stay on your skin.
    4. Apply Cuticle oil on our nails so that you don’t have colored nails for the next 15 day.
    5. Use spectacles or sunglasses to protect your eyes.
    6. If possible use a bandana to shield your hair.
    7. If possible use natural clothing like cotton or khakhi, so that there is no skin irritation leading to rashes.
    8. If possible use natural colors and/or gulal to play holi.
    9. Post holi, condition your hair with yogurt to clean the colors off and refrain from using any shamppoo or soaps.
    10. Post holi, clean your body especially your face with a pack of Besan, turmeric and milk. Follow up with moisturising.

3.If natural colors are not possible, then use a better quality of colors.
4.Oil your hair so that color does not stick on your hair.
5.Use only natural home made colors if possible.

  24. If you want to protect your nails from getting colourful dye lodged in between your cuticles and under your nails, coat them with vaseline but not before applying dark nail varnish.
You may also apply vaseline to your lips as well while you’re at it.
    Moisturize your skin properly.
    Apply a good sunscreen lotion.
Apply petroleum jelly before you dip your hands into that pail of colours.
Avoid pedicures and manicures at least for a day. They can further damage the nail/cuticle.
Stop beauty treatments-facial, bleach etc-a few days in advance.

    Last but not least…Use Organic colors…!!! 🙂

  25. I usually apply vaseline all over my open parts of my body.I massage Lots of coconut oil in my hairs a night before holi.I always use organic n herbal colours.

  26. My quick fix would be to apply ample amount of sunscreen lotion or coconut oil to the body areas which will be exposed to the colors.
Hair oil should be applied to the hair. Hair should be tied rather than leaving it open.
After playing Holi, I use a good makeup remover to get rid of the stains over my face & neck. I also take a head bath and wash my hair thrice inorder to cleanse my hair completely.

  27. Oil your hair well before stepping out so the residue from dyes does not get struck to your hair and scalp.
You can protect your skin and hair by applying a fine layer of coconut oil on the hair and skin. However this should not be applied on skin with acne.
. After playing holi apply fuller earth (multani mitti), soak in water for an hour, on your skin. This mud pack is very helpful in removing the colour from the body.

The best way to protect your skin is to apply thick layers of oil or petroleum jelly or coconut oil or mustard oil on all exposed parts of your body about an hour before going out of your house.

Another home remedy to remove colour from skin is, make thick paste by mixing gram flour, sweet oil, and milk cream in rose water and apply it on your face, hand and legs. Let the paste dry and remove it by rubbing with hands.

  28. Holi is truly the festival of colors. Its the one day where we get to be children again and literally smear each other with colors. And to ensure that its fun and safe, I would suggest these simple yet important tips.

Natural colors – These can be made at home with stuff lying around. Mehendi leaves for green, Haldi for yellow, Red Sandalwood for red etc. Just remember,if something is good enough to be eaten, then IT MUST be good enough to be applied on skin as well!

Oil/Cream – Post Holi, skin becomes dry and itchy. To combat this, right before you play, apply a non sticky oil or a cream that absorbs quickly so that when you are actually drenched, you shouldn’t be having that yucky sticky feeling. Make sure your skin is hydrated.

Hair- Oil your hair and cover it up with a bandana or an old dupatta. The oil makes it easier to remove the colors. Use a really mild shampoo. Your hair has already been exposed to chemicals and colors. Don’t overdo with chemicals.

Removal of color – After Holi, we are left with pink nails and patches of color. The tendency is to rub the skin raw in an attempt to remove the color. This would only aggravate the skin and make it sensitive. Apply baby oil or a mild cleanser and rub. Follow this regime for a couple of days and you should see results.

It is not possible for us to educate everyone about natural colors. Hence, if you have sensitive skin, avoid playing outside unless you are very sure of the colors being used. You know your skin better than anyone and its yours to take care of.

  29. The best way to protect skin from Holi colours is to stop use of synthetic colours as they contains elements that harm to skin and use organic or natural colours.I always use a good sunscreen OF SPF 40 (as my skin is prone to pigmented patches) all over face and open skin and than apply a paraffin cream or oil ( I PREFER COCONUT OIL AS ITS GOOD FOR BOTH HAIR AND SKIN) that act as a barrier or protective layer for skin.I always wear cloths that give maximum coverage to my body. If going out to play Holi I always carry a small bag with wet wipes, sunscreen and towel. I would advise to be careful when removing colours. Never rub skin, first apply cleaning lotion and than wipe off with moist cotton wool. I always use homemade cleanser by adding one teaspoon til oil in half a cup of cold milk. After sometime use a good face-wash and wash off with warm water and than apply a moisturizer or coconut oil on wet skin to get it hydrate. If there is skin damage or dryness, I usually apply homemade pack of honey and curd next day.

  30. wow…Thanksss for this lovely Giveaway..
My tips to protect skin from holi Colours:
    1. An hour prior to playing holi, apply cold cream on your skin as it will help to facilitate a protective layer from the colours, making it easier to rinse away later.
2.Make a paste of besan with milk or yoghurt, and rose water, and apply it on your skin. After five minutes, rinse your face gently with a delicate soap and water
3.Put dollops of moisturizer on your face. This will protect against the effects of chemical-loaded colours.
So Be a safe And Happy Holi in Advance……

  31. The Best way to protect your hair and skin from colors is wear full sleeves cloth, cover your legs, apply oil on your hair and apply a thick layer of petroleum jelly on exposed areas like face, ear, neck, feet.

  32. 1- Should drink as much as water at regular intervals both before leaving the house and after coming indoors. Colors contain chemicals which snatch away moisture from the skin, so it becomes very important to keep re-hydrating skin

2- Apply thick layers of coconut oil or petroleum jelly on all exposed parts of body about an hour before leaving the house.

3- Oil your hair well, so that colour doesn’t stick on hair and can be washed off easily later.

4- Apply thick coating of paint on nails- both in fingers and toes so that they remain protected. No worries if using Elle 18 nail paints.:)

5- Wash off colors from face using lukewarm water and then apply a mixture of sea salt, glycerin and few drops of aroma oil. This mixture is anti-bacterial & anti-fungal which helps protect the skin from harsh effects of chemicals in the colors. Make a thick paste of soyabean flour or besan with milk ,apply it on face and neck leave it for 15-20 mints then wash it with luke warm water it will rejuvenate the skin .

  33. Lovely Giveaway. I really wish to win as my birthday gift as few days are left.
My quick fix to save sensitive skin from harmful chemical colors during Holi is to apply thick layers of oil or petroleum jelly or coconut oil or mustard oil on all exposed parts of body about an hour before going to play holi or apply sunscreen on body to decrease the possibility of chemical effect of color on skin.

  34. Before Holi:

    1. Apply coconut or mustard oil all over your body.

    2. Apply petroleum jelly behind ears and other areas, where there is a possibility of colours getting stuck.

    3. Apply sunscreen lotion on skin after applying oil.

    4. Apply hair oil on scalp and hair length. It will give a protective coating to your hair and colours will easily wash away latter.

    After Holi:

    1. Wash your hair with a good shampoo you trust and don’t forget to apply conditioner afterwards.

    2. Put a few drops of lemon juice in lukewarm water and wash your skin with it using a good moisturising soap.

    3. You can also use a homemade pack of gram flour and curd. Make a smooth paste of these two ingredients and rub this paste gently on your skin till the traces of colours come out. It will also make your skin soft.

    4. Avoid bleaching, waxing or facial a week before and after Holi. It makes the skin dry and even more sensitive.

  35. Apply mustered oil on ur body n and hairs ,apply a dark lip colour on ur lips and apply trancprnt nail paint on ur nails for sefty 🙂 after holi use milk’s cream in besan, do not use turmuric in dis mixture bcoz it can reaction on ur skin, just apply on ur face n body n leave it for a min then rub gently to remove the colours from ur body after then apply a good moisturizer on ur body n a good cream on ur face .for hand n legs u can use luke warm water with few drops of body wash and few drops of lemon for remove colours 🙂

  36. well d common way is to apply oil generously all over body and hair … but i got sensitive skin and i know how things react badly to it .. so sensitive and pimple prone skin we need to choose oil dat will soothe d skin .. mustard and coconut oil might give rashes … where as almond ,olive will help but just provide moisturisation so colors will be hard to wash off. i massage almond oil in gud quantity on body and hair …apply sunscreen on top … color my nails with some paints to protect my nails .. after holi splash and fun wash off with mild soap coz harsh will irritate skin … rub lemon slices on tough parts .. cleanse face with tomato pulp dis helps lighten d colour…wash hair with shampoo and den give yogurt and olive oil mask it helps bring back lustre and reemove dirt from d roots …finally a gud moisturiser is a must to reduce dryness .. and yes avoid using soap on face for next 2 to 3 days .. use natural ingredients like cream , milk, besan, turmeric ,lemon and tomato juice ..

  37. – The best way to protect your skin is to apply thick layers of oil or petroleum jelly or coconut oil or mustard oil on all exposed parts of your body about an hour before going out of your house.
    – Wear full sleeves clothes and full length bottoms to protect your skin
    – To the keep the nail safe from effect of colours, cut the long nail and apply nail polish on them.
    – Do not use soap, scrubs, kerosene oil, petrol or spirit to remove the colours as these may remove layers of skin and cause rashes
    – Wash you face with cold water as hot water may further stick the colours on your skin.

  38. tips – Aply coconut oil on your skin as well as a perfect champy for your hair .. simple treat to your hair or skin for this holi. And playing with happiness.
    * color makes your skin ruff. so after wash apply a home made body butter for perfect nutrition. Make your skin heathly and smooth.
    Happy Holi.

  39. Use a soft cleanser to wash your skin you can also use a homemade scrub made off with milk to wash your face. Scrub on the affected areas and lips for few minutes and then rinse with luke warm water. Avoid very hot water as it will dry down your skin further.

  40. vartika puranik i would suggest to apply mustard oil or coconut oil preferably mustard iol all over body before holi and a lil bit of moisturiser and on head also mustard oil..you dont need to apply anything else on your skin only this will do wonder..after holi ..apart from this quality of colors should be good..wear a headscarf for better protection..after holi bath with cold water in case you feel to cold use lukewarm water not too hot water..use shampoo on body also with the help of a loofa and rub all over gently..as you have already applied mustard oil generally it removes all the colors..in case it dosent use a cleanser which has aloevera and lemon in it..if you want to use traditional methods for removing use besan mixed with haldi and atta and rub all over..another method is soaking mulatni mitti 15 min before you take bath and apply all over..ubtan etc can also be used..for hair if colors are not getting off with shampoo mix an egg and half lemon to it..some skin types donot allow to get rid of the colors so easily so donot expect and rub harshly with any stiff material on body..go easy on hair also..but again its a festival of colors so rather enjoy it 😉

    Quick fix for HOLI –

1)Apply mustard oil on all exposed parts to prevent colors from penetrating into skin. Also apply sunscreen with high SPF.

2)Apply oil and tie your hair. Hair, if let loose, will be difficult to manage while playing holi and to clean afterwards.

3)Wear full sleeved clothes. This will minimize the amount of color that touches your skin.

4)Play safe – Use natural colors as far as possible. Natural color can be made from beetroot, turmeric, tesu flower, etc.

    5)And finally, go green….SAVE WATER!!!

Follow the above and you are good to go…..
