Huma Qureshi

The finale of the India Couture Week 2014 ended at an all time high with Huma Qureshi and Ileana D’cruz walking the penultimate show of the day. Harpreet & Rimple Narula along with Sulochana Couture showcased their exquisite designs in the same show. The stunning jewellery used by both the designers was from Shri Raj Mahal Jewellers. Known for detailing and excellence in design, SRMJ, the tile sponsor of ICW, proudly presented ‘Parinay’ as the grand finale- to meet the grandeur of jewellery with the splendor of couture. The three interconnected worlds of entertainment, fashion and jewellery amalgamated to present the theme of the final day where the dazzling jewellery from the beautiful Svara and Sondaraya collections perfectly stole the limelight. All the jewellery pieces were inlaid in finest quality diamonds and gold, further embellished with precious stones like rubies, pearls and emeralds.

Huma Qureshi walked the ramp for the designer duo Harpreet & Rimple Narula. Dazzling in a beige lehanga choli, she looked splendid and utterly graceful. The low-cut back choli and full sleeves added another dimension to her overall look. Huma draped the dupatta in a way to compliment her lehanga and showed the full details of the overall work. The most interesting part of her look was the statement neckpiece that layered over her choli. The stunning piece by SRMJ had strings of diamonds and pearls interconnected to form a princess necklace. Her loose auburn hair and a confident smile left everyone gasping for more.

Ileana D’Cruz walked for Sulakshana Couture. Sulakshana Monga travelled back in time and visited the era of royalties for her exclusive couture collection, “The Royal Opulence”. Her collection aspired to bring together vintage royalty with uninhibited youthful panache. The bold embroidery and experimental drapes catered to the young brides and conventional folks. The showstopper Ileana D’cruz sizzled the ramp in grace adorning a Fushia pink stitched sari. She said, “It was an honor walking for Sulakshana, and although black was originally my favorite color, after slipping into this couture piece from Sulakshana Couture, I must say PINK is my new favorite.” The choli of her sari was heavy in gold and net. Ileana sizzled in a simple ponytail and very effortlessly walked in elan and grace for her part of the show. Post the show, she surely made the day of many her fans by clicking selfies and giving a grand closure to the finale. And as for me, she definitely took my breath away!
