10 Effective Tips to be Successful at Work

  • Get organized

Getting organized, get away from the clutter and get going! Make lists and follow them. Texts, emails, phone conversations and what not, there is so much that your mind becomes cluttered. Write everything down so that you don’t have to make an extra effort to remember them. Remove the junk and let there be space for ideas to flow.

PS – Get an interesting and pretty planner or a diary so that you’ll be inspired to write more in it. Trust us when we say, happy stationary always helps.

Tips to be Successful at Work

  • Stop multitasking

We know that a lot of you excel at multitasking and are very proud about it. It is good when you do it sometimes. Let your focus be on one thing so that you give your best shot. That agony of making corrections is not what you want.

  • Get aligned with your boss

Having an opinion about something is good, presenting it forward in an acceptable manner is even better. But what if your boss doesn’t agree to that opinion? Whether you like it or you don’t, you have to align your thoughts and ideologies as per the organization and your boss. After all, the boss is always right.

PS: Trust us, it’s not always important to prove yourself right. Like with wife or husband, being silent is the best weapon sometimes.

  • Rise above competition

Healthy competition is good. But it doesn’t take long for that healthy competition to turn ugly and make the entire situation messy. Compete with yourself so that you become a happier better version of you. Promotions and increments will follow sooner or sooner than later.

  • Be a good listener

Golden Rule at workplace – Be an effective listener. Don’t just hear things, listen to them carefully and make sure to implement what is being said. Pay close attention to feedback that your colleagues and juniors give, listen to what your boss has to say and of course in all this don’t forget to listen to your heart and its feelings.

Keep your dreams alive. Understand to achieve anything requires faith and belief in yourself, vision, hard work, determination, and dedication. Remember all things are possible for those who believe.

  • Take a small break now and then

Taking small breaks every now and then would only increase your productivity. It could be a little stroll in the office campus, or a cup of tea with your colleague. But make sure that the breaks don’t stretch too long.

  • Set goals

Set goals for yourself. These can be short term goals or long term goals. Start with achieving short term goals and you’ll see yourself spearheading in the direction of your long term goals. This would ultimately lead to success and growth.

  • Challenge yourself

Challenge yourself to achieve scaling heights and work hard to reach that level. Keep yourself motivated and be hopeful for positive results. We all have that bad day at work, but don’t lose heart. Step out of your comfort zone and face the challenges boldly. success at work

  1. I agree. Being silent is the best weapon sometimes and if you ask me, it’s not worth it aswell. Do your best and move on with pride. No point wasting life in office politics and non sense people.

    Thanks for the tips.

  2. Nice Friday read…. Agree with most of the points….but one has to fight for promotions and increments if bosses don’t understand and indulge in favourtism.
