My books are definitely my best friends. I never feel alone in their company. I can sit at a coffee shop for hours and read in-between coffee sips. I find it so fascinating. I wish I own a coffee shop someday where I can have endless coffees and muffins and salads and pastas- Oh the greedy me. This is my favourite venue to meet friends, cousins or business associates. For me, a coffee a day keeps the doctor away :). I have just finished ‘And the mountains echoed’ by Khaled Hosseini and I am hoping to lay my hands soon on THE GUARDIAN ANGELS. Hosseini as always fascinates with his writing and locale details. Similar to his previous novels, he was successful in bringing forward his expertise on depicting human relationships, of brother- sister duo this time. And like earlier times, I cried heaps while reading his tale and most of all I could marvel again and again at his writing skills. Awaiting his next one soon. If you know of any author or books in similar genre, do let me know. Till then, Happy reading and happy participating in this contest.
P.S.. The winners for the Book Giveaway contest are Yamini Shekhawat, Rohit Sukhwani, Mayank Jain, Priyanjana Roy, Surbhi Bafna, Praveen Gola, Shomprakash Sinha Ray and Deepankar Goswami. Congratulations and Happy Reading!

There is nothing to expect from a book, It comes all by itself into your life, and as it leaves (when finishing the last left of any book), it creates an impact. 15. A book is my Best Friend because whenever I am reading a Book i totally get lost in it, its like being in a different world, a whole new place. I don’t need anyone by my side when I am reading a book, all i worry about is the problems that my favorite character is facing at that time. Its makes me Happy and Sad at the same time and the excitement that I feel when there is some twist is worth more than spending time doing anything else.

  16. A book is my best friend, because as far as I can remember, paperback wisdom has dictated an arguably major portion of my adolescence. It started with the world that Jo Rowling had penned down, with me standing in line for each new release like an overgrown child enjoying the frolic and spoils of a new world. Much later, I ventured into the territory governed by Archer & Sheldon, and found a good reason to have my nose buried deep into the fresh paper odor during train journeys and road trips. When I was a bit older and pocket money transitioned into an “allowance”, I took the liberty of buying my own books. I had a process- Once I liked a book, I went around buying every other book by the same author. I started looking for patterns, and in the monstrosity of my psyche, I felt compelled to adopt certain patterns in my own life. And it wasn’t just fiction either. A certain genre, sometimes despised by a general audience, too- came to my assistance. I’ve had so much help in interviews and public speeches, because I was able to quote the works of Robin Sharma, Maxwell, Coelho, and Shiv Khera.

I have a special affection for all Indian authors, being one myself. I believe that the segment deserves better visibility, as it fills a void created by the developmental hiccups of my country- and a viable population of young adults who want to read and learn more. I congratulate Rohit on penning down one of the best books I have read, in a very long time. I have told him this before- with “Focus, Sam”- he ought to turn these into movie screenplays, and I will tell him again. “The Guardian Angels” should be remade for a 70mm screen.

    Hail Fiction 🙂

  17. 🙂

A book is my best friend because a book is always going to be there when ever I need ,whenever I want to share something or just simply want to think something not related to the real world. A book gives me a world where I escape from all my worries, tension , boredom, anything at all. Most importantly a book never complains it just simply conveys what it has to. and above all a book is not going to judge you ,it is simply going to sit on your shelves waiting till you are in need of it.

    🙂
