I had been buried under work for about 2 months and badly needed a break – ‘me’ time with a book. And the best place I could think of was Kunzum Travel Cafe. Hidden in the by lanes of Hauz Khas Village, is this dainty and uber cute café. As the name suggests, it is a travel café and a one of its kind in Delhi.
As soon as you enter the café, you are engulfed with positive and happy vibes. Cozy and homely décor with trunks used as tables, low seating, pillows and rugs thrown around for casual seating makeup for a very causal layout. The best part about Kunzum Travel Café is that it is a ‘pay what you like’ café. They only serves tea or coffee with chocolate biscuits. Black tea, Kashmiri kahwa, green tea and black coffee are some options to choose from.
Sitting by the window, sipping hot tea, rain pouring and a travelogue to read and dream about – life seems whimsical at Kunzum…
There are lots of interesting aspects about the café. An interesting one is a pretty scrapbook in which you can doodle and write a personalized note. You can even buy some quirky books by Ajay Jain, an ardent traveler, author and also the owner of the café.
A variety of workshops and events are held at Kunzum Travel Café – film screenings, photography workshops, nature walks, culture walks, book reading events etc. Get in touch with the café to know more about Kunzum Club membership.
It is a great place to catch up with an old friend or meet fellow travel enthusiasts, bloggers, photographers, artists and dreamers. Beautiful photographs of hawelis of Rajasthan, wildlife in Corbett, Himalayan sunsets, faces of people etc. adorn the walls. It has free we-fi, so you can get your laptop. Whether you are working on a project, or need to finish a blog draft, Kunzum Cafe is the ideal place to work.
Sip lemon tea, recharge yourself, interact with people and you’ll see new ideas flowing in. Steal some time from your routine and visit the café for a splendid experience.
