A phone today is not just a phone, it’s your PC. It’s your friend in disguise. It’s your walking talking soulmate. And if this soulmate can capture beautiful memories, then it’s a Bull’s Eye.
Huawei Honor 6 Plus is the latest addition to my life. It’s a phone that I can’t lay my hands off. The phone comes with a special dual-lens camera and good hardware specifications. Does it offer value for money? Does it offer work solutions? Let’s find out in the review.
Huawei Honor 6 Plus review

Build of the phone
The phone comes with a bigger display to ensure a better manoeuvring around the phone. With almost flat edges, straight lines and a glass finish back, the phone looks solid. The glass back makes it a little slippery, a back case would enhance grip and also save it from scratches.
Please note: A back case is always recommended to save the phone damage arising from unexpected falls and scratches. My last phone had a hairline crack because I didn’t use a case for it.
There are no physical buttons on the phone. The front of the phone has a 5.5 inch display with the front camera.
The glass back has the dual-lens rear camera along with dual-LED flash and the minimalist ‘Honor’ branding.
P.S: Thumbs Up for the bigger display and a solid appearance for rough usage. The touch phone is handy and easy to use.
Display
Huawei Honor 6 Plus with a 5.5-inch Full HD in-cell display is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The phone also comes with fingerprint resistant coating. Pictures and texts appear sharp and crisp. Sunlight legibility is fine. Display brightness and colour rendering is impressive.
P.S: Responsive screen and touch sensitivity makes it a user delight.
Camera
The phone sports a dual parallel 8MP rear camera to capture pictures upto 4160X3120p (13MP) resolution. Images captured come out well with accurate color reproduction and contrast. The front camera is good for selfies and the phone offers all the editing options to make you look very good 🙂 . Below pictures are un-edited, though 🙂 .

P.S: These are the pictures from my last vacation. The picture quality speaks for itself.
Performance
The phone has 32GB of internal storage and upto 64GB of expandable (microSD card) storage. I haven’t felt any lag while browsing through the home screen and menus. The phone plays full HD video files and offers Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, NFC, FM Radio and GPS connectivity. Good quality signal reception, uninterrupted calls and loud speaker sound makes it user friendly.
The phone has a non-removable 3,600mAh battery that lasts LONG. The phone can be easily used for a full working day without a re-charge.
The phone runs Android 4.4 and the app icons and widgets are spread across the home screen. The phone has different themes with a different set of icons, font style, wallpapers to choose from.
