Hey there. Let’s make the weekend stylish by trying a new recipe. So here I go and make my Vodka sauce pasta with vegetables. It’s simple and made with a little variation. The pasta lovers are having a treat here…Pasta in red sauce

Vodka sauce pasta :

Ingredients:

1/2 packet pasta of your choice.
1 tablespoon of olive oil
1/2 cup chopped yellow bell pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
A pinch of red pepper flakes

1/2 cup of sliced onions.

3 teaspoons minced garlic (keep it 1-2 teaspoons for not so garlic lovers)

1 cup of crushed tomatoes or you can also use tomato puree

4 tablesppons of IICE Vodka. Here the fun begins.
1/2 cup of cream
8-10 roughly torn basil leaves.
Parmesan cheese for garnishing.

Directions to cook:

1. Boil water in a medium size pan. Add a pinch of salt to the water. Add pasta and cook until soft. It will take about 6-10 minutes. Drain the water.
2. In a pan, heat the oilve oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and onions and saute for 3-4 minutes till onions become pink.

3. Add bell pepper, salt and chilli flakes and further saute. Add tomatoes and cook until thick, about say 2 minutes. Add the IICE Vodka and cook till the sauce thickens. Stir in the cream and further cook for 2 minutes and remove from heat.

4. Toss the pasta in the sauce and transfer to a bowl. Garnish with basil leaves and cheese and serve immediately.
