White wine then red wine- How about the rose wine? When the flower is all around, the recipes need to have the flavour too. In continuation with the spirit of 14th Feb, here are 2 rose wine recipes. These are simple, easy to make and super easy to serve. Enjoy from making to relishing.
1. Rose wine cocktail with Basil and lemonade.
Serves 1
Ingredients: Simple and easily found.
- 150 ml rose wine
- 30 ml citrus vodka
- 2 basil leaves big in size. Roughly tear them.
- 1 lemon wedge
- Sugar syrup- 2 tb spoons ( if required)
- Ice
Directions to make:
- Place the basil leaves and the lemon wedge in a glass.
- Add ice.
- Add Rose wine and citrus vodka. Stir it well.
- Add sugar syrup, if required. Some people like sweetness in their cocktails.
- Ready to serve.
2. Rose wine-Vodka punch
Serves 8
- 6 cups of chilled club soda. Club soda accentuates the taste.
- 8 tablespoons Rose wine
- 3 cups ice, or more if required
- 10-12 torn mint leaves
- 8-12 whole leaves for garnishing
- 1 1/2 cups of vodka of your choice
- 2 tablespoons of sugar
- Rose petals to garnish.
Directions to make:
1. Mix the rose wine and sugar in a glass bowl till the sugar dissolves.
2. Pour the syrup in a large pitcher.
3. Add the torn mint leaves along with vodka. Stir well.
4. Add soda and ice.
5. Pour into ice-filled glasses and top it with mint leaves and rose petals.
