Pearl Academy, country’s leading fashion institute known for its design, fashion and business courses closed its two-day annual show – PORTFOLIO’13 with glamour and élan. The show exhibited captivating creations and designs of the talented graduating batch. The work done by the Textile Design, Interior Architecture Design, Communication Design and Fashion Design batches was the main focus.
The CEO, Pearl Academy, Mr Sharad Mehra said, “PORTFOLIO 2013 has exceeded the expectations that we have from our students. Our mentors are constantly working with the students to achieve a high level of academic excellence which has become synonymous with Pearl. We are proud to have successfully organized a show at this level.”
Guests of Honor and Industry leaders Sunil Sethi, David Abraham and Vineet Bahl witnessed the work of praiseworthy students getting commended in an award ceremony for their spectacular designs and thinking process. The students brought about breathtaking designs and color sense inspired by Ying Yang, exotic insects and Narnia among other inspired designs and sensibilities. The pressing issues faced by our society were reflected in a sensitive manner too.
The President of Fashion Design Council of India, Mr Sunil Sethi said, “I am delighted to have experienced fresh new insights from the promising students of Pearl. Platforms like Portfolio make our work as industry players easy as we are always looking for new talent which would fit well with our brands.”
Mr. David Abhraham, the famous Creative Director of Abraham & Thakore fame , said, “It was a pleasure being a part of this event. Portfolio exceeded expectations with designs which left us spell-bound and wanting more.”
Vineet Bahl, very well known Fashion Designer, said, “As a designer I look for people who understand fashion and justify their theme. Portfolio was a refreshing experience since these students surpassed the common standards.”
The second day of the famous PORTFOLIO’13 witnessed a flamboyant rampshow and a huge exhibition by students of various courses and attendance by known names of the fashion industry like Pawan Sachdeva, Ranna Gill , Rahul Misra among others. Portfolio by Pearl Academy of fashion saw huge success and applause.
