Going back to the roots, Gaurang Shah unveiled, ‘Paanchali’- Fashion Styles of the Past in uber style for five Metro Cities. This tour showcases best in luxury and finest in bridal fashion to take jamdani weave on a higher stature in India and abroad. Gaurang showcases his fashion classic ‘PAANCHALI’ in Bangalore, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata and New Delhi. His aim is to have traditional Indian fashion on a higher plateau and signify the style factor of his clients.
‘PAANCHALI’ – The styles of the past bridal collection will do the 5 city tour and attract high end fashion absorbers in domestic aswell as foreign market. Gaurang has worked hard with his team of weavers and designers spanned across the country to bring some of the finest textures and fabrics to reflect the tradition of vintage India. He has worked extensively with the weavers from Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Kolkata and Andhra Pradesh.
Gaurang himself says, “My idea of ‘PAANCHALI’ stems from the belief that these textiles and our Indian weaves shouldn’t be restricted to the runway. I want to reach out to people galore, and educate them about the fabrics, textiles and weaves, which is impossible to understand unless one touches my fabric and feels the texture.”
He further added, “People think my creations are ‘expensive’, but there is a far greater value to it. I believe in timeless creations. One’s that can be handed down generations, and they can look up to our heritage and culture. I believe in reviving the antique textiles, but with a contemporary flair and can never compromise on the quality.”
PAANCHALI sarees will highlight contemporary tradition and the silhouettes will have modern and traditional touch. The clothes are stitched to a perfect fit and anarkalis, ghagras, straight cut outfits and ijhars will create a high stylish statement. The designs will celebrate traditional concepts with modern outlook.
Gaurang is making his way well into Bollywood and his work is worn by celebs like Sonali Bendre, Vidya Balan, Kiron Kher, Sonam Kapoor to name a few.
