Fruit Hair Masks

Fruits are rich in vitamins, minerals and anti-oxidants. We all know that they are an integral part of a balanced diet. But many fruits work remarkably well for your hair if used in the form of hair packs. Following are some homemade masks made out of fruits.

  • Strawberry Soufflé

Blend 1 cup of ripe strawberries in a mixer. Add 1 egg yolk and 2 tbsp. olive oil and mix well again until smooth. Your very – berry strawberry hair pack is ready. Apply all over your hair and leave it for 15 – 20 minutes. Wash off with a mild shampoo.

  • Mango Mania

Mangoes – delicious, healthy and a great ingredient for hair packs! The king of fruits, mango is a beneficial ingredient as it strengthens your hair roots.

Take 1 cup mango pulp and add 1 tbsp. honey to it. Mix well into a thick paste. Apply this paste to your hair and leave it for 30 – 40 minutes. Wash off with a mild shampoo and then, let your hair do the talking.

  • Orange Bar

Mix 1 cup yogurt with 1 cup orange juice and 1 tbsp. amla powder. Make a fine concoction and apply all over your hair evenly. Leave it for 35 – 40 minutes and then wash off with cool water. This hair pack works very well for greasy and oily hair.

The reasons can be varied – stress, environmental factors, improper diet, vitamin deficiency, harsh and harmful chemicals, ageing etc. But whatever the reason be, hair loss is something that we all dread. Thus, it is recommended to act well in time. Make use of these simple homemade masks for hair fall to get rid of your hair fall problems.

  • Egg and honey hair mask

Egg is a rich source of protein, sulphur, iron, phosphorus and many other essential minerals. Egg can be amalgamated with various ingredients and applied as a hair pack.

Mix 1 egg yolk with 2 tbsp. honey and stir well. Leave it for 30 minutes before washing it off. This hair pack works very well to prevent hair loss.

  • Fenugreek Magic

Fenugreek or methi is a very beneficial ingredient and is a magnificent ingredient for both your hair and skin.

Make a fine paste of methi seeds and mix it with 1 cup yogurt (dahi). Apply evenly onto your scalp. Leave it for 30 minutes before shampooing your hair.

  • Egg and olive oil mask

This is one of the simplest hair packs to prevent hair loss. The essential fatty acids and anti-oxidants in egg make it a highly desirable ingredient.

Mix 1 egg white with 1 teaspoon olive oil and beat into a thick paste. Apply evenly on your scalp and leave it for 15 – 20 minutes. Wash off with a mild shampoo.

  • Milk and Honey hydrating pack

Both milk and honey are known to be super ingredients and are often used in many face packs. But today we combine the goodness of these two magical ingredients in a single hair pack.

Take 1 cup raw milk and mix 1 tbsp. honey into it. Gently massage this mixture into your hair from roots to tips. Let it remain for 20 – 25 minutes and then shampoo your hair using lukewarm water.

  • Potato hair pack

Potato comes to rescue all the times. This time it will work miraculously and help you get shiny tresses.

Peel a large potato and grate it. Squeeze its juice into a bowl and add 2 tbsp. aloe vera gel. (You can find aloe vera gel easily in the market, so no excuses!) Mix well and apply all over your hair. Leave the mask for about 2 hours before washing it off with cool water.

  • Happily Hibiscus

Soak hibiscus petals in bowl of water overnight and make a fine paste next morning. Add 1 tbsp. Olive oil and mix well. Apply all over your scalp. Wash off with cool water after an hour. This hair pack has a beneficial effect if you have dull and dry hair.
