I am careful of my morning routine because post covid, it has become all the more important to feed ourselves with good products. What we eat or apply matters for our skin. Here are two Cheryl’s products suggested by their expert that do the magic every morning.

On a bright afternoon, I had a virtual consultation with Cheryl’s expert. She did a close analysis of my skin and recommended the following 2 products for the morning routine-

Cheryl’s Cosmeceuticals Clenzima Face wash review
This face wash is for the ones like me with an oily skin. We guys have a special privilege when it comes to the oil secretion from the face. No doubt it saves us from wrinkles and ageing but it gives us acne and blackheads in abundance. So if you have oily skin & acne issues, Clenzima is your go-to cleanser.
This face wash for oily skin deeply cleans and purifies the skin. It cleanses germs from deep within our pores and gives a fresh feel. It is an anti-bacterial and anti-fungal cleanser for oily & acne prone skin. It also removes makeup.
Let’s look at its main ingredients- tea tree oil soothes the sensitive skin by not over drying it; Eucalyptus oil removes dirt, oil and makeup; Salicylic acid deep cleanses and purifies oily & breakout prone skin.
Clenzima plays a dual role of a face wash for blackheads as well.

The thick white face wash has a nice feel to it. It’s like applying a treatment on your face. The mild fragrance, the texture and the benefits- there is so much to love.
If you have oily skin prone to breakouts, go for it. I find my skin fresh and lively after every use. This works as my morning evening cleanser. A good face wash after a long day is all you need to feel alive, isn’t it?

Cheryl’s Cosmeceuticals DermaShade Broad Spectrum UVA and UVB SPF 30 Spray review
I specifically asked the skincare expert at Cheryl’s about the need for a sunblock at home. She specifically asked me to use it. We have various light sources at home, mini exposure to the sun in our balconies, windows etc. that it becomes imperative to have a layer of sunblock on our faces. Since sun rays cause skin to burn and prematurely age, I kind of agree with the expert. Here I am with my findings about the sunblock.
The first highlight of the DermaShade SPF 30 sunscreen is that it comes in a spray form. Just spray it directly on your face or take a small quantity on your palm to apply. My new technique is dotting up the whole face with tiny dots and then spreading it around.
The sunblock provides adequate protection to the skin by blocking the sun rays. I like the fact that it’s lightweight and shine free. The sunscreen adds an invisible layer of protection on the skin and protects from the sun for a stretch of 7 to 12 hours. Men can use as well.
Apply it like any other sunscreen. Clean your face, tone it, moisturise it and use the sunscreen as the final layer. I usually apply the sunscreen directly after toning. I don’t feel like applying many layers because of my oily skin.
It’s good for all skin types including sensitive & acne prone skin.
The active ingredients include tomato fruit extract known to be a powerful anti-oxident; pomegranate extract known for reducing sun damage; Vitamin C known for reducing skin darkening and niacinamide for decreasing pigmentation.
The sunscreen is priced at Rs 575/- for 50 ml.
My three reasons for recommendation are- it prevents suntan, is shine free and controls premature ageing. Enough to pick it up.
