5 Easy peasy DIY face packs for oily skin
1.Mint and Honey Face Pack
Super simple and super effective! Mint cleanses and soothes your skin, while honey adds moisture to it.
Grind 15 -20 mint leaves (washed) and add 1 tsp honey. Gently apply all over your face and allow it to dry. Wash with cool water. It might give a tingling sensation on active acne.
2. Multani Mitti Face Pack
Multani mitti (Fuller’s earth) is known to be a magic ingredient for oily skin. It soaks up excess oil from the skin and leaves it fresh and rejuvenated.
Mix 2-3 tbsp multani mitti + 1 tbsp rosewater + few drops lemon juice to make a smooth paste. Apply all over your face and neck. Allow it to dry for 10 – 15 minutes before washing off with cool water.
3. Cucumber Face Pack
This is by far the easiest DIY face pack for oily skin. All you need is a cucumber. It is effective in unclogging your pores and cooling your skin, perfect for those with oily skin woes.
Just grate it and strain the juice. Refrigerate the pulp. Mix the cold pulp with cucumber juice and moisten your face. Once it dries, repeat the process for the entire face.
You can add 1 – 2 tbsp yogurt in the pulp if you like. Apply this all over your face and allow it to dry for 20 minutes before washing off.
4. Neem Face Pack
Neem is a great antibacterial and has healing properties. If you have oily and acne prone skin, neem is one ingredient that will be highly beneficial.
Crush 4 -5 neem leaves (washed) and add 1tsp rosewater/ lemon juice. Gently rub it all over your face. Let it dry for 10 minutes and then wash off with cool water.
5. Besan Face Pack
Besan (Chickpea flour) is also a great ingredient for oily skin.
Mix 2 tbsp besan with 1 tbsp curd to form a smooth paste. Apply all over your face and let it dry. Once dry, pat your face with wet hands and gently scrub off the face pack in circular motions. Rinse with cool water.
