Do you know why sun tanning happens?
Sun tanning happens when the melanin level in skin increases which makes the skin appear darker. Melanin production is boosted when we are exposed to sunlight. And this is done to protect your skin and preventing it from skin cancer.
Presenting 7 DIY homemade detanning face packs to save from tan.
- Papaya Face Pack
For all you lazy girls like me, papaya is the savior against sun tan. All you need to do is mash a few pieces of papaya to form a squishy paste. Apply this all over your face and neck, let it dry for 20 minutes and wash off with cool water.
You can also add 1 tbsp fuller’s earth (multani mitti) to the paste. While papaya exfoliates your skin, multani mitti will act as a natural deep cleanser.
- Oatmeal and Milk Face Pack
Mix 2 tbsp oatmeal with 5 – 6 tbsp milk. Let it rest for 5 minutes and allow the oatmeal to soak up all the milk. Apply the thick paste all over your face and neck. Let it dry for 30 minutes. Wash it by gently scrubbing it off.
Although this pack is suitable for all skin types, it works best for dry skin. It would eliminate the tan and would lightly exfoliate your skin to make it soft and radiant.
